I am looking to switch from 3 fingers to the Power Grip after the QC Icebowl this weekend and I just wanted to get a poll from everyone to see how they grip the underside of the disc using the power grip. Feel free to comment.

I can't throw 450-500 ft, but I can throw 400 pretty consistently, and I use grip B since it is more comfortable for me and my short fingers. I have tried a couple different versions, including Grip A, and I seem to go back to Grip B since it works for me.

gotcha. I have really long fingers, my middle finger is 4.5", so it is usually difficult for me to get all 4 of my fingers under the rim like in Grip B; but that Nuke is so darn comfy.

i dont use any of those grips, or an X -step for that matter.. Any advise on how to go about completly overhauling my shot? I would love to just start and stick with it, but I have a hard time changing something that Ive done for years, especially during tournament season. I have seem to hit a wall in my game and it doesnt seem to be getting any better, or worse. I need to add some ft to my distance. I only throw 400 on a good day otherwise im around 380 or so. I currently use a 2 finger grip, and a walk up that is my own design I guess. I broke my leg playin DG awhile back and the x step just hasnt felt comfortable/ or right since then.

Go to your basement and do the Karaoke drill back and forth ....... you'll get the motion down. Then once the snow melts go outside and put it together with your throwing motion. You'll probably take a step back in the early part of this season if you do this, but it will be worth the benefit in the long run.

I'm probably not one to be giving advice, but my grip is closer to B then A. I keep my middle and ringer fingers bent a little so the the finger tips are touching the rim. The pads of my index and pinky are against the rim.

What's the karaoke drill?

B looks better than A. The middle finger may not even be used.

3 points of contact, thumb, index, ring/pinkie smash =

Power triangle of death. Most consistent and widely used among top throwers.

So, would you stack the middle finger on your index finger, or point it towards the center of the disc?
