I guess I'll never understand why people prefer to throw one brand's plastic only. It just seems that you are limiting your options.

agreed, only time it really makes sense is if they're sponsoring you.

Good example is Gateway, I haven't been able to enjoy any of their drivers or midrange discs really that much, but IMO they have the best putters on the market.

Yep, I would say the eclipse time in the sun has passed. Eclipsed, you might say.

When people come into the store - LOVE it when they ask (with bias already) if Innova is the best brand to throw. I respond by telling them that I throw 4 different brands in my bag @ all times. They all work - it's just a matter of learning HOW they work, and then learn how to use them to the greatest potential. (the latter being the hardest part.)

I've had more aces with Eclipses and Cobras than anything else. Haven't used them in years though. Might have something to do with course length.

I'll play golf with bottle caps...it's really about the game.

I do understand brand loyalty, but it really is a blessing to have so many options on the market.

I always tell players to get a putter, mid-range, and mid-range driver - then build from there with another Aviar, Roc, Teebird, and for me personally a Firebird for long ups, a 10x whippet x for midrange control hyzers, followed up with a Pro Destroyer and an Eagle and a leopard, and I love the DX Beast for a power roller...etc, etc, etc, etc!

Wish someone at Lenny's house would film his reaction to this post 8)

To each his own flight!

Some older molds are still useful, others are kind of obsolete, even if you update them with modern plastic. (collectable, of course, is a whole different issue)
