End of the Year Doubles?

December 26th or 27th?

Postby Sidearm » Mon Dec 14, 2009 11:51 am

Just like last year, I will be visiting family in Keokuk County from December 25-28. While there, my brother & I are planning to play a round or two at Memorial (I really enjoyed playing it last year!). Anyone playing on the 26th or 27th? How about a round of glow on December 27th? Has the course changed at all in 2009?

December 26th or 27th

No wimps or whiners OR are some of you waiting to see what the weather's going to be like this weekend? My brother is going to bring his 5-year-old daughter's tiara & the first person to complain about the cold/snow/ice has to wear it the rest of the round. Saturday after lunch works best for me, but I could probably play Sunday afternoon if that works better for others.

At the risk of exposing myself to some "tiara disc golf", I'm not sure I will be able to play on Saturday. Unfortunately, it looks like the weather is going to prevent me from traveling on Christmas Day. If I can't play on Saturday afternoon, I will definitely be at Memorial Park by 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

I like the way you think! I don't foresee the tiara in your future. :)

Looks like we won't get to southeastern Iowa until Sat. afternoon so I'm leaning toward Sunday after lunch. Who's in?

Sidearm and I will be at Memorial Park at 3 P.M. tomorrow (Sunday). We might play two rounds-second round glow. We have extra glow lights if needed.

How do the teepads look? Do we need to bring a snow shovel?

Hole 15's teepad?

Postby Sidearm » Mon Jan 04, 2010 11:44 am

My brother & I had a great time playing Memorial on Sunday, December 27th. We cleaned all of the teepads except #10 (I'm not aware that it has a teepad) & #15. We searched for #15's teepad but were not able to find it. Is it along the treeline? On another note, I saved my best drive of the day for #18, but my brother did not. It was starting to get dark as we drove #18, and he lost a disc in the trees on the left. Maybe he'll post & tell you what exactly he lost. If you find it, keep it. :o We're planning to play Memorial again between Christmas & New Year's in 2010 -- will this be the year that an Ottumwa-area player or players finally join us?
