I'm still trying to cordinate this with Minnesota - but for now please put down the Forest City Disc Golf Course for August 28, 2010

I will see if we can get a " Boarder Bash " tourney going and bring both states together to battle it out ........ I think it could be a great event.

Tiki we would like a couple dates. WAK PAK here in Ames. July 17th at Stable run and then September 26th Carrol Marty. We would also would like to host a two day event at both courses on October 30th and 31st. Please let us know if this sounds ok. We will be flexible since we are the new guys here. Soon as you let us know we will get on top of the sanctioning. We would also like to sanction the pufferbilly days tourney I am just unsure of the dates right now.

We should think about some kind of meeting over the winter to determine the best course of action for Iowa disc golf.

updated

I really hope super class events don't block disc events from occuring.

I hadn't even thought about that scenario. I would personally give preference to any sanctioned tournament before a super class event. As long as the super class event is sanctioned though, it would have to have precedence over a non-sanctioned tournament.

Sure., but you can't really do anything about non-sanctioned tournaments. They, in actuality, have precedence over anything.

Super Class events are sanctioned and will have little to no impact on other disc tourneys scheduled the same weekend.

Jay,

Not sure if this matters, since it's a Missouri tournament, but the Mid-America Open is scheduled for that weekend, July 10-11. Just a heads up...I don't expect exclusivity for Columbia on that weekend.

P.S. Missouri can't and won't be able to avoid conflicts with Iowa tournaments...and it doesn't make sense to in most cases. However, if I can, I'll try and stay away from the Lamoni tournaments and the Challenge. The exception might be perhaps something in St. Louis on the Lamoni weekends....they're pretty far apart, but the St. Louis Open is usually the weekend after Lamoni, so I doubt anything would be scheduled in St. Louis against Lamoni in any case.

Thanks Chappy, it's getting harder and harder.
Are you ready for the Challenge?

TJ, I'm going to rethink this one for now, so scratch the 10th. I'm going to Columbia next year.
