Extra Holes

Extra Holes

Postby hyzerman16234 » Mon May 18, 2009 3:23 pm

I'll be pulling the 2 extra holes for a few weeks, after this coming weekend so I can do some basket work. By the time they go back in I should have a 3rd basket for the B hole and there will be a middle sleeve for #4.

Steve, what was the length of the new B pin placement on #4?
I must have been "out of it" when we measured.
Let me know so I can get a headstart on the new sign.

70 ft more than the A pin.

What, you're going to make me add?
No wonder I didn't remember a number.

I pulled the 2 extra baskets yesterday. I should have them back in in about 2 weeks if the work goes as planned.

The A, B & C baskets won't go back in until the week of June 21st. When they are, all 3 will be in. I have acquired a 3rd one for B. :D The holes will be left in a temporary state for now, with dirt pads etc.

I'm a little ahead of schedule so the A and C holes should be in this weekend with B in next weekend. I'll use B in C until C is done so we can play the original 2 holes. Anyone confused yet? :?

Even though I haven't had a chance to play this course yet (it's at the very top of my list), thank you for giving updates and continuing to work hard (2+ years) on what I've heard is an incredible course. Thx hyzers,

Not me, I know what you're talking about.

By the way, I'm looking into some fly pads for the temp holes.
I'm getting a quote from work for three of them cut at 48" x 10'.
The material is called masticated rubber and isn't very expensive. (I said masticated not .... )
Anyway, a roll at 48" wide by 300' long (1/4" thick) is a little over $1,400.00 bucks.
Those Fly 18 guys are making a descent living aren't they
I wouldn't think three pads would cost more than $70.00 to $80.00 but we'll see.
We could use them for tourneys at least; I don't think I'd want to leave them out there given the present state of thiefhood lately.

I put the basket for "B" in yesterday. So we're up to 21 holes.

I picked up some rubber belting from work yesterday for the A, B & C pads. They have an impression in the cover that should work very well for traction. I might see about putting grommets in the corners to stake them down as well. They measure roughly 40" wide by 11' long and should work until we put in permanent pads.

I will be installing the permanent signs on the A, B and C holes this weekend.
Also, the C hole tee pad will be moving roughly 40' to the right of where it is now due to the "pond" that fills up near the present pad location after excessive rains.
Follow the path to the right and behind the long placement on the B hole to the new pad location for C.
(It's closer to the north edge of the bluff now)
