We're they just moved?
2 could be up in the wooded area and 6's other spot is a ways from where it's been.

I wish I had time today to run over there, if someone has time to stop out there please let us know if they are really gone so we can contact the city and make sure they didn't pull them for something.

missing baskets

Postby mountainmama » Tue May 26, 2009 10:42 am

That is affirmative. #2 and #6 are both missing. I work right across the street, so I ran over to check.
I called Parks and they have filed a Police Report, and are getting quotes for new baskets. Those are special order so don't expect to see new ones any time soon--but hopefully before Nationals. Do we have any extra old baskets that will fit those sleeves in the meantime?
That's pretty crappy to do, and I suppose those that stole them probably don't read this forum, but in case they do: You have about 400 pissed off golfers out looking for those orange baskets, plus a couple of my Bett. PD buddies. So return them to the fitness center across the street from Middle #5 no questions asked...
Not only do you now have disc golf karma on you, but if we catch you you'll be brought up on theft charges...totally lame!!!!

I certainly hope that the police catch the little Xexpletive deletedX that stole those baskets. I was there today, and notice tire tracks all over the area where 2 and 6 usually are. I just kind of wonder, was it a player that just wanted the baskets, or a bunch of retarded douche bags that thought it would be a good time?

I bet they were a couple of idiots. The sad part is that they'll probably just end up in some shed or garage rotting away too scared to put em in their own yard.

So I'm just wondering, I know that we'll have to wait to get the specific baskets replaced that were there before so the course looks nice and uniform. But until then is there anyway to get some temp baskets in to replace the stolen ones so the course can be played properly?

There's been some talk about taking the practice basket and putting it in 2s middle, or 5s long, and having that as a common basket for both holes.

Any thoughts on that?

How about put it in 2's long position for both 2 and 6? Make 6 a par4.

New baskets are in, and installed! 6 is now in the long position.
