C2 Workday/Mini Monday 5/25

Postby treeMD » Tue May 19, 2009 9:57 pm

I realize monday is memorial day but if anyone is free i would like to do a work day followed by a mini. The course is looking good but there are some things that need to be done before RCR. the stairs on 12 need to be finished as well as some more ladders/stairs into the creek bottom could be built. As always brush on the ground can be piled and burned. Also we could go through with weed eaters, there are some areas that are getting a bit thick.
I think i will try to be out there around 9 or 10 to cut some hangers out that are in bad spots. I was thinking of starting the mini around three or so.

I am flexible on the times, if people are interested, im free all day!

That's awesome, Evan! Thanks for heading that up.

I've got graduation stuff all weekend, but I may be able to get away for a bit on Monday.

I can get rebar for the stairs on 12, and maybe some more for coming off of 8? I know there's some 4x4s already cut near the creek by 12s pin that can be used, and I think Brad has some more.

I've also got the club's weed eater that I'll get out there.

i think there are enough boards for the steps on 12 and i think if there are a few left over i think they should go to the path from 17 to 18. what have we been doin for the stairs? just drilling a hole all the way through the wood and then pounding the rebar down through it?

The hole gets drilled about half way through, pound the rebar into it, then push the whole rig into the ground. Helps if you have a small sledge type hammer, or you can just use your foot. Ground should be fairly soft yet.
