Fixed the bridge on #5 today. Also cut and removed that log laying in front of the #7 pad.

I noticed when playing at Sugar the other day, if anyone wants to take a weedwacker and trim all the tall grass around the trees.... that'd be a decent solo project.

bummer

I've been eyeing those new propane string trimmers...I was hoping a work night would push me over the edge on a purchase. Not much I can do with my electric mower/trimmer.

Going to the Penn last night may have been enough. The nettles are back, at least that is what the burning/itching on my legs tells me.

Is chemical treatment an option at all?

Nope ..... When I lived in the IC area I spend 99% of my free time and then some getting the Pen put in. The Pen sits on a chunk of land that is used as part of the IC water supply (hence the well buildings), the parks and water departments did not allow us to put any chemicals down then so I doubt they will now.

still the same as far as i know

we weedwacked it all in the fall last year, I'm guessing that is all we can do if the city won't mow the interior holes

I think I still have poison ivy and nettles in the clothes I wore when I did this right before we put the course in  ..... weedwacking every inch of every hole in the woods is a blast :o :(

It was a blast working with all of you on it as well, many great friends made and good times had by all. It really sucked moving away right after the course opened. I'll always have a fondness for the Pen, regardless of its current condition (chucking floods).

There will be a worknight, this coming Tuesday May 19th, at 5:30. We will be meeting at turkey creek and plan on doing the stuff we were going to do this past tuesday that got canceled. Obviously if it rains, we will cancel again.
