work day

Postby shane » Sun Apr 12, 2009 7:52 am

As some of you know and some of you have forgot and all the rest. We'll be working up at Grandview today starting at noon. We could use a lot of help today as were putting in a retaining wall or two depending on people and time. So if you're not doing anything make your way up to Grandview and give the club a hand PLEASE..............

Alright guys it's safe to post again were done working for the day. Thanks to everyone that came out today Tyler, Mikal, Leaf, Chris?, Dave, Dan the ol' ladies, Fausch and Ernie (sorry if I missed anyone). The wall looks good and will look great once we get that fill dirt in there with some sod.

Heads up guys, if the weather holds out a few of us will be at Grandview building another one on hole 18. This won't be the same size it's just going along the side of it to help keep that run off off of there. We could certainly use a hand if anyone wants to come up and help out at 5:30 Monday evening.

Put the work in your parks and you'll take pride in your parks.

I can get there about 4:30 or so (if I'm not on OT). Mikal said he would be there also.

I should be able to make it out there at 430 Shane, so let me know when you can get there. As for Fill at the end of 10... I really think that crushed rock will work if we just get more of it. It will help stop people from going to far and its great for water drainage. Putting sod would probably not work. Def need fill dirt for the back area and sod though

yeah just use that rock and put a couple inches of mulch over the top of it. I think thats your best bet.

I just want to say thanks to Mikal, Grant and Tyler. We just knocked out another wall up at Grandview. This is right in front of hole one. It's not quite as grand as hole 10 but still looks pretty good. By the way Tyler, Mikal and I ran up to Kmart and grabbed some mulch and threw it on the front and it does look sharp, good call. Good work tonight gents.

Thank you guys for the work. Sorry I don't like wasting great golfing nights on it. I promise I'll be out doing my share in the coming weeks.

No problem. We had all the peeps we needed on Friday (4). Any more when we are working on one small wall and we just have people sitting around. Next step would be to get a wall on 18 and possibly 4. After that a little mulch and fill dirt and the course will look better than it has for some time. Big thanx to all that have helped so far, This is Shane's brainstorm so all the effort so far has been due to him, Im just there to help
