Hello -

For those that may remember me it's Rob Markut! I haven't been in the scene since 2003 but played CR league during its glory days with John Clark Ang Tschiggfrie and Rick Tschiggfrie.....

Not sure if my old PDGA number would be still available to renew but it was/is #17020

Ran into Matt Fritz the other day and he got me pumped to play again so I am excited for that!! I opened my disc bag 2 weeks ago and it was like looking into a time capsule ahaha I had a Tank putter, an old whippet taco'd up disc, an EXP ahaha .

Anyways I look forward to run into some familiar faces and play in some upcoming tournaments!! I think Intermediate division is calling my name!!

Hey Rob, I remember you and John for sure. I still have one of John's shirts, a 1999 CRDG shirt he left at a buddy of mine's back at the Mid America Open in like 2001 or 2002 down in Columbia.

If you hang out on this board for 5 minutes you'll recognize Greenwood as our resident post whore.

Welcome back! :D

Thx for the replies and private messages for help/info...

I am so far out of the loop what are most popular current discs? I was at best a mid tier advanced player throwing maybe 300 tops ahaha! Both backhand and sidearm (my strongest throw).

Just get a TBird, Leopard, Roc and Wizard and that's all you need.

Maybe add a new-age wide-rim disc cuz they're fun to bomb. Pro Wraith.

(has the Wraith been replaced by Boss/Destroyer? didn't play much last year)

Sidearm discs

Postby Sidearm » Mon Apr 06, 2009 10:06 pm

I'm a decent sidearm thrower & my "go-to" discs include Star Firebirds, Pro Wraiths, Star Destroyers, Star Excalibers, Pro Orcs, and K.C. Gazelles. I seldom throw over 350' on my drives.
