has an ergonomical grip as well as a rounded lip. These are supposed to have a small bead and the stability of a wizard while putting. Off the tee supposed to be pretty straight, probably between wizard and warlock. I have not seen or thrown one of these yet but should be sweet.

Wondered if I got some first runs how many people would be interested in them. Say $8 each or three for twenty?

Let me know by sunday oct. 19th and I can get some, they will be going quick. If there is a big enough interest I will get some....

Dave said after these first runs, it will be jan. before any more are made due to manufacturer of polymer run behind.

Initial review of the Voodoo.

The top is very similar to a magic. If you hold them next to each other, the tops from the parting line up are almost exact. The Voodoo might have a more pronounced downward angle the closer you get to the outer edge. The bottom is more like a more rounded wing of a wizard. The bead is about the same as that of a Challenger though. So far...I would say it has very good glide. It has pretty good stability too. A very straight disc for driving. If I were to rank the stability of the Gateway putters, I would say they compare like this.

Wizard +1
Warlock +.5
Voodoo 0
Magic -.5

I would say that the Voodoo has all of them in the speed and glide department. I was throwing all four molds today out on the rugby field and the Voodoo's had about an extra 10-15 yards of carry out of them. The Warlock/Wizard/Magic were all within the same 20 foot circle at about 240-250 feet. If I were playing a short technical course, the Voodoo would be a great weapon to have in your arsenal because of how straight it flies. As for putting with it, I don't know if it will replace my original proto wizard. But...I'm still in the early testing phase

Haven't thrown mine yet ........ probably won’t test for a while. I won’t be throwing anything for a bit, as I will need to let the body recuperate. The glow plastic version does feel good in the hand.

These things are great. Small bead wizard with rounded edge. Bombing these in the field today. Pretty over stable and good putter. Wizards are to big for my hand, and thes are perfect, putting is very similar to wizard, for throwing like a beat warlock.

But yet they still allow them to be given as a players pack disc for BG. I dont understand why Gateway cant get with the program and have discs approved prior to releasing them.

The voodoo and warrior are currently in the hands of the PDGA technical standards committee. It should have approval by early next week hopefully.

I think that he was a bit busy tallying the scores from last October's Fall Harvest. It took him like 4 months!

Seriously, though, if what Joe says is true, which I'm betting it is, it's typical. He's obviously making the rush to get it approved before he puts them into the hands of hundreds of 'would be pissed that they can't use them ams' at BG. He procrastinates with the best of us.

As of 3/31/2009 (according to the PDGA website) the Voodoo is PDGA approved.
