I have heard rummors of shaver being worked on. Maybe utilizing more of the land. Does anyone now about this and if so how soon can we start working on it?

I did'nt know of any revamping, but I think of all the possibilities when I play there. I second the heads up on any info.

There is so much land and posibilities on that piece of land. That course could be bad ass with Doug P. and Harper's insight. Right now it just seems to be there and could use plenty of TLC. If they wanted and could make any changes I would be more than willing to help out.

Are you quoting Patrick Swayze from "Ghost" or Robin Williams from "Mrs. Doubtfire"?

Either way, Ghey!

Where were you on that one Mike? Can't believe you did not find that picture first. Pretty funny though.

Sorry, I have been away making the world safe for drivers by eliminating the whitetail.
When Shaver was originally set up Jeff and I were helping Charlie Visek (who at the time work for the city) lay out the course. Charlie then went in and did everything himself and set up the course. Later some of the baskets were moved by him due to the pros getting birdies on them. After that some of the baskets were moved to prevent land wear and tear.
When we were working on this the city wanted as little done to the park as possible and we were limited to the area we now have. Expanding really doesn't look to be an option.
The main reason behind the course was to get an activity in the park that would help remove the problem the city was having with the parks reputation.
All of the recent work (wood chips, tee fixes and movement etc) has been done by league members or old league members that frequent the park on Sundays and winter time.
