New Course in Davenport

New Course in Davenport

Postby Lou Siffer » Thu Jan 22, 2009 11:34 am

As some of you may know already, the City of Davenport assigned a task force to come up with recommendations for alternative uses at Credit Island Park. One of their recommendations was to put in a disc golf course.

The QC club is currently working with the city and the task force to make this a reality. They're very eager to see this project through, and seem willing to do what it takes get it done.

MDR and I will be at the park today at 1:00. Anyone interested in coming along is more than welcome.

Cool! Just the other day I was wondering whatever became of this. Good to hear it's still going to happen. Thanks for seeing this through.

Thanks to Mike, Sprague, Brad Ellis, Evan, and Mike Heaton for coming out and walking the park today.

Holy hell that's a big park! Scoped out a lot of options through the wooded areas, and didn't even walk the ball golf course which is also fair game.

After the walk today, I have high hopes for some long, challenging golf.

Less water? It's an island in the Mississippi with a lagoon in the middle.

And lots of homosexuals waiting around looking for some action. That place needs alot of cleaning up, I will not go there to fish anymore with my girlfriend we have seen to much goings on. That place should be nuked if you ask me.

One of the thoughts behind creating alternative uses for the park, is that increasing the traffic through the area may curtail some of the less desireable activity taking place there now.

I think it's a good idea in terms of monitoring activity in the area. I thought the gays were flushed out of there?

As far as the entire city of Milan in concerned, Camdens disc golf courses have taken away most of the police calls and trouble there.
