Scott Walsh #18991

Postby 10up » Wed Dec 17, 2008 12:08 am

As the days grow shorter; and the era that was Grant Weaver #27166 draws to its close, the eyes of Des Moines look to find a new champion. Look no further, feast upon the statistical improbability that is... Scott Walsh.

Gentlemen, there are few things in this world that have shaken my faith to the fabric of our very existence more than the events of the past two or three weeks. We are bearing witness to a once in a millennium occurrence and find ourselves left with only three possible explanations.

1. One man is single-handedly defying everything that we know of mathematics, odds, and statistics.

2. There is a grand design, and it wants Scott to win.

or

3. Scott Walsh is The One, and whether it be through some bastardized version of ESP, or what he believes to be "Gut Instinct" , he can (and does) actually influence the outcome of events in the Matrix.

As the eternal skeptic, I'm starting to lean towards Grand Design, I can only hope it's that easy.

Either way, regardless of the truth, I muck my cards and tip my (kick ass) Saints hat to Scott. May the runner-runner 2-Q fall with copious fury.

Held Q2, flopped a 2 to make a pair, checked from early position, called a raise and an all-in re-raise, then hit the 2-Q?

What, are you forgetting the Q2 WERE SUITED!!!! And another heart was on the board, so it was the OBVIOUS play with a pair AND the possible flush.

Dude must take his lessons from Neifert.

Does it make it worse Dan that I had to ask Jay what your text meant?

Thanks for the thread. I'm truly honored

Dan, your words of wisdom have far outshined mine. I envy your selection of words. I'll have to step up my efforts on further reviews of the showcased celebraties.

Scott throws another twist in my everyday ventures. However, on the DG course I have yet to see the impossible performed by Scott, comparitevly speaking to GW. From the top of my head, I did witness Scott get a skip/ bounce ace on #6 at Big Creek with a thumber. Grant was hiding in the bushes laughing after it went in, as a horrible thumber thrown by Weaver, is still better than an ace thumber thrown by Walsh.

I'll have to keep my eyes peeled on double time now that SW is labeled as one of the late greats in the Iowa DG scene. As for the poker gods that Scott posseces, this thread was far past due. And will probably never have an explanation. Dan you weren't even at the BW poker party in the fall. That's a whole nother thread in it's self.
NO!......Welp!?

I think it could've gone unsaid that a Scott Walsh thread would never be created in the context of Frisbee.

I can only hope that, should I ever be the recipient of my own thread, it will be for highest Shiner total in recorded history.
