Gate Closed for the winter

Gate Closed for the winter

Postby Crager » Mon Dec 01, 2008 2:50 pm

The gate was closed this morning for the winter, you can still play the course, just park near the gate and walk up to tee pad 18 and start there.
Please dont block the drive to the park rangers house being built up on the hill .

Most likely. I think the crew was there today. Beware of hunters though. If you go check out the 2 bonus holes after 6C.

Nope.
Usually arond the second week of April depending on the weather.
If it stays dry, maybe sooner.

no, not me.

Rusty Channon is going to be in Waterloo tonight through the weekend for the BCA state pool tournament or something. He was asking where to play, I am guiding him your way. How much of a walk in is it? I know he will ask. How are the conditions of the course?

Any other recommendations for the area?

It's a par 4 warmup "object hole" playing from just past the gate to the 18 tee and start there. From the gate, 18 tee is to the right of the outhouse at the other end of the campground.

18 is the one that plays up the row of pine trees, right?

Yep, that's the one.
The course is a little greasy under the leaves but overall in excellent condition for this time of year.

It doesn't take much to walk in though, just start an #18.
I'm sure there will be members of the WC crew there after work also.

If the weather holds on the gate could be open by next weekend.
