2008 Norwalk Glow

Postby ghstinshll » Mon Jul 21, 2008 11:39 pm

Initial Details:

Friday, August 22nd (Dusk @ 8:03)

Norwalk Parks & Rec is handling the registration process. Respond to them by registration form (being created now).

Norwalk Parks & Rec will supply the paper products - plates, cups, forks... Rental of the rec shelter will be free for the evening, thanks to Nancy Kuehl. Havent worked out the details yet but Norwalk P&R will supply a few items to give away.

6:00 to 7:30 Check-In and Potluck supper (need to work this out)
7:30 to 8:00 ish Round-Up & players mtg, ring of fire, etc
8:00 to 8:15 Tee-Off

Format will be 18 holes
Milk Jugs luminaries @ each basket, and each teepad. (thinking about coloring them, or wrapping in colored paper to make them color coordinated for teepad, or basket...)

8" Glow sticks available, w/ connectors.

This is meant to be a fun gathering, for the locals in Norwalk, or those in the area who like our course.

Cost is $5 per person, for glow sticks & supplies to support the event. This should be minimal enough to get people in, and cover expenses if I keep it cheap.

**WE HAVE OUR MINIMUM OF 15 PEOPLE SIGNED UP.

**CTP Prizes
**Ring of Fire Prizes
**Drawings, etc..

Registration form is:

If you want to mail your form in, send to:

glow sticks

Postby bjason6 » Tue Jul 22, 2008 7:51 am

Target has glow sticks in the dollar bin, 15 kid bracelets for $1, I just bought some for my daughter... and was thinking, these would work pretty good for a glow.

Sounds like fun Jason, I will have to check my schedule.

Does that mean since the park is closed "no ob on hole 2" over the skate ramp?

The best place to get glow sticks/ bracelets etc... is the internet. Just google it and search for the best deals. I haven't purchased any in some time. But I remember getting 300 bracelets for $15. Order them soon though. It usually takes a couple of weeks to get them. Even if you don't need that many, it is the best deal, and you can never have too much glow parafanelia.
NO!......Welp!?

Thanks Steve! I found 300 8" sticks & 300 connectors for $35 on ebay. I'm looking @ 36 2" x 3" pillar candles on ebay for $61.50 as well, but I bet I can hit up Dollar General (aptly nicknamed "DG") & find them cheaper? LOL

We're probbaly going to have to ask the city to put them back for that night if they're not done yet.

I'm going to see if I can get the city's registration form into a PDF & put a link to it on the web from here.

Also. If anyone wants me to fill out the form for them & paypal me the $5 for registration, let me know by Private Message.
