High Water Updates

We're thinking between 4 and 5 start time. We can be flexible. I think Bob is about to call you. He's got specific info about the rules for going to the houses.

No first floor damage!!!
The basement is a mess though.
I drudged everything out and am going to set it by the curb this weekend.
The electrician is set up for Friday morning around 7:30.
The gas will have to wait for inspection before they will turn it back on.

Thats good news! :D Did the water drain out?
The river has about 2 ft to go before the road is clear at the course. I don't think they will have to close the park for clean up. A little debris removal and a mow and it'll look OK.

Yep, the water was gone when I got there.

I'm taking a half day off Thursday to clean up more mess in the basement so it will be safe for the electrician.
I will be off all day Friday so I may be free Friday afternoon to play depending on how long the elecrtician takes.

Work has been cool, they gave all the flood victims the use of 40 hours of paid time off plus $500.00 to help out.
I don't think I'll use all the time though, maybe 3 days total.
The unused time goes back in the pool and there are others that have it worse than me that could use it.

Steve

I'm going to my house after work to haul the junk from the backyard to the curb.
I'll be there around 4:15 if you want to help.
Bring gloves!!

I'm going up to the course tomorrow morning to see if I can drive in. For those die hards that are looking for an open course, you could be in luck. :D
My plan is to weed whack all day so I can camp this weekend. Might make some firewood too. The new chainsaw needs a workout.

Wildcat is open for driving in now. :D The front 9 still needs some weed whacking but the back is done. The layout is A/C. I'll change it next week. The park is getting shaggy. The conservation department lost their shop in the flood. I'm not sure if they saved all their equipment. We might have to do some mowing ourselves.

The ENTIRE course is weed whacked as of today. 8) I solo whacked for 6 hours to get it finished. The bad news is that they will close the park at the gate today for 1 to 2 days. The layout will be in the A pins for 1 week after tomorrow. I'll move it there around 1 PM. Enjoy
it because the next setup will be odd A/even B.

You'd better watch out when you're solo wacking

Just have to make sure all the parts are well lubricated.

But 6 hours of solo whackin' would make it nearly impossible to throw more than 50 feet. But that's what a desk job does to ya, I guess.

But seriously, thanks Steve for all the wacking you've done on the course.
It looks very professional and plays great!

And for anyone that sees Steve while he's wacking, thank him but you might not want to shake his hand

The gate to the park is still locked. I was told that they should be opening it for the weekend. They are repairing the road. Wildcat is pretty much the only campground that didn't get too much damage. Hopefully it will be opened back up today.

The river is backing up to the park, this morning at 5 the water was on both sides of the road by the rangers house. It may be going over the road this afternoon, will keep informed
