Postby DBo » Mon Jun 02, 2008 9:59 am

Jason, just wanted to let you know I don't think I'll be able to play again this week. Just got back from vacation and I think I broke a finger while I was down there. I'm going to the doctor today to get it Xrayed. I havent been out discing in like a week and a half, going through withdrawls already!

OUCH! Hopefully you get healed up quickly...

BTW - Jason is in Chicago for some training and asked me to run league this week. He said we'll be playing doubles for the next week or two. I'm still waiting for him to send me the pairings. It should be fun.

If you need another person, I am down for playing doubles the next couple weeks (I would like to whip up on John Anderson again like last time we played dubs, sorry John   ).

Just let me know and what it costs to play and is it on Tuesday's?

I used to live next door to the course (in Windflower) and have played a couple times and think I shot 4 down playing 18 last time with my partner against John and Wade.

We got 2 inches of rain this morning and there's a lot of standing water on holes 2,3, and 12 - from what I could see. I'm sure 6 is soggy as well as the area around the basket on 11. We'll give the course a quick look-see when we start play this evening.

crazykrug - swing by around 6 on Tuesday if you want to play.

sounds good Matt, I have talked to Ghost too so I will probably show up tonight. I know a couple of the peeps that are playing so that always helps

Sounds like the weather should stop around noon today (well that is what the forecasters are saying).

Groupings for Week 5, Best Shot Doubles:

Goal: Match the pairings as evenly and farily as possibe, by matching the lowest average players w/ the highest average players. This will hopefully drive the desire to do well, for bother partners. The partner w/ a higher score average will hopefully work to keep the pair's scores low, and hopefully the player w/ the higher average will add value, or even a sefety net if the player w/ lower average decides to get too aggressive. Otherwise - known as the person who saves the pairing's tails when the other person goes OB.

Format to play:

Both players throw a drive, choose which shot they want to keep
Both players throw from the chosen lie, choose their shot to keep
Repeat if needed
Both players Putt, if the first player misses.

This will keep scores verry low... And makes it FUN!

if you are looking to buy norwalk discs you can just get them up at the parks & rec office. Andy has been playing with the league for the last 3 weeks but he was told it was too late for him to sign up for league to be eligible to win discs
