As of Jan 9:
Front nine still very icy! River is high, but only a little water on 5 Blue fairway. About 2/3 of the tees are clear of ice, all 18 Blue tees are cleared. Thanks to whoever cleared the tees!

not sure if its still there but yesterday (3/12) there was pretty much a small river from all the snow melt you had to cross to get from hole 1 to the rest of the course. It was a least a foot deep and only one small area where it wasnt at least 4 feet across, that you could "attempt" to jump across

just something to keep in mind if anyone is going out there soon

Wasn't a problem on 3/16.

Also the rest of the course was above water except for 5 Blue. Not sure how much longer before the back nine is flooded.

Update... holes 1-10, 17 and 18 from reds and blues are above water (except for 5 blue). The rest of the course is flooded.

I was at the course yesterday and, while I didn't walk down there, I could see from 11's blue pad that there is standing water in the middle of the fairway. It's not as bad as 5B's fairway, which is basically an extension of the river, so it is possible that it could dry sooner rather than later. Looking at last year... 5B will probably be flooded on and off all season, 11 shouldn't be a problem after a few days or weeks, 12 may be a problem, as it was last year, but if the pin's in the long you can just play a water hazard on the right. 13-16 may be flooded for a while, especially 13. I think it has something to do with how much water they release from the dams (or what ever they do to control the river's water level). The course is still very playable. The men and women who designed it were smart enough to make the two tee pads for each hole completely different shots (meaning, it's not just long and shorts) so there is still plenty of variation. I also hear the course will be getting a shelter pretty soon!

As of Sunday, April 20th, holes 11, 12 and 13 are playable...#14 probably as well...#15 is a day or two from being playable, and #16 looks OK.

A few days to dry out, and we should be able to play all of these. The course is very, very close to being completely playable. Just bring out your tick spray.

However - they will need a mowing bad. We gotta cross someone's palm to get the lawn mowed out there.

I'm from the Quad Cities, but I'd like to make a trip up to Peninsula soon. Can anyone tell me what condition the course is in right now? Flooded still?

This was posted Tuesday 5/13:

IHearChains wrote:Right now Peninsula is still playable, but only as a 14-hole course. Currently 11-16 are unplayable and the baskets have been moved. The first 10 holes in the woods are in fine shape and play as usual, but then after #10 we have been playing 18-short pin, safari from walking path over to 16 basket, 17 as usual, then 18-long pin.
