I suggest they be sent from your outbox within a minute. Mine seem to be randomly delayed for way too long before they're sent. Sometimes they don't get sent at all, they just stay in my outbox. Is there some type of site maintenance going on when this happens?

in an environment that's not dymamic. You're thinking email = mail server = always running...

the PHPBB code that works in this environement isn't "always on", it's simply a static database, that when your web browser pulls stuff up - it accesses the DB, even PMs. Since they're not email, they're jsut text you're entereing into a DB that's meant to be "ppicked up" by someone else.

that's the short of it.
