tee signs

tee signs

Postby Birdman » Fri Oct 20, 2006 8:35 am

i know that the gateway course is where most college students go and play but im getting pretty pissed at the lack of respect finding birdhouses and tee signs up rooted and laying all over the back nine.....it would be sweet to get new tee signs but since some people cant seem to grow up i guess it will always look crappy compared to the isu course.

its still the same great course just you dont know how far the tee shot is to the basket or with the pin location of 1 and 17 where you cant see it from the tee pad it would help to have a sign

That's a great point, Frolfking. I'm considering running a fundraising tournament (or 2) for the Gateway course to purchase some new vandal-resistant signage as well as some other course improvements. Look for that in spring or maybe a Jan/Feb Ice Bowl.

You will note that I said vandal-resistant not -proof. I was thinking along the lines of the signs we have out at Walnut Ridge and Grandview. High density polyethylene plastic signs on 4x4 wood posts.

good point cause nothing is 100% vandal-free....that would be good though...those are good quality signs
