Mitchell Report comes out soon. Has been some things on tv this am saying Clemens is the biggest name on the report and that his trainer supplied him with roids when he was a Yankee the first go around.

I like this quote from a closing statement of a poll article I read on Foxsports.

The message is as twofold as sports fans are two-faced on this issue. 1) Don't do steroids. 2) But if you do, we'll still root for you as long as you're helping the team.

As sad as it is to say that sums it up fo rme pretty well. I believe that is why the consequences will never be harsh enough. If a star is suspended for half a season for testing positive, the team may suffer, therefore the ticket sales will suffer, and MLB won't let that happen.
NO!......Welp!?

So basically what I get from this is, most of these players got their steriods or HGH from Kurt Radomski, the NY Mets clubhouse attendant. If this one guy can name all these players then I'm sure this truly is the tip of the iceberg.

They say the steroid era goes back to '88, which kind of surprises me. I thought it was pretty sad though that not one single player responded to Mitchell's memo he sent out to teams and players asking for cooperation. Even more sad is the fact that the players union sent out a similar memo asking player not to cooperate.

On one hand this is a bad day for baseball but on the other hand, at least Selig asked Mitchell to make this report.. I bet the same amount of usage goes on in football, basketball, and hockey as well.

Glenallen Hill *******
Once hitting a home run that landed on the rooftop of a building across Waveland Avenue behind the left field side of Wrigley Field. It is believed that this is the only time a home run has landed on the roof of any building neighboring the outfield bleachers of this ballpark.

Todd Hundley — Radomski has known Hundley since 1988, when Radomski worked for the Mets and Hundley played in the Mets' minor league system. Radomski stated that, beginning in 1996, he sold Deca-Durabolin and testosterone to Hundley on three or four occasions. At the beginning of that year, Radomski told Hundley that if he used steroids, he would hit 40 home runs. Hundley hit 41 home runs in 1996, having never hit more than 16 in any prior year. After the season, Radomski said, Hundley took him out to dinner.

Hope that was a real good dinner....and the next year or so he signed with the Cubs and was injured most of the time...hmmm...

To me the biggest surprise was how little came out. Everything disclosed comes from just a few sources, and a lot of it was already known. Hardly a comprehensive report. Nothing about Sosa, Prior, Griffey Jr., etc...I think any player that had a few good seasons followed by many injuries is suspect.

Maybe the report will encourage people to speak up, particularly those that feel cheated.
