I'll probably be down to meet you at WL. You'll have to post a week or so before coming east.

If I'm in town, I'd love to play this course I've heard so much about. I'll invite myself along. I'm not proud.

Ok, so pain killers RAWK, and letting my foot keep me off of a little taste of West Lake was NOT going to happen. I got up Saturday morning, had breakfast, the wife laid down w/ the kids for a morning nap in the tent for a little bit, and I was off like a prom dress. After all, it's a hairline, and it doesn't hurt any more. *grins*

Didn't look up the entrance to the course, or where to park, but knew it was somewhere around the park - and I grew up in Walcott & Bett. We were already camping, so I just drove toward the beach area to look for baskets. I could see holes across the lake & couldn't figure out how to get to them - but with limited time I just called Greenwood, found out that hole 1 was in a different entrance to the park, and decided to just park by the hole 11 basket. I threw #s 12, 13 across the dam, 5 back across, and then 6, 7, 8, 9, missed deuce on 10 & then finished w 11.

Once I walked down 12 & saw 13, I knew that was where I wanted to head, especially after watchign the RCR final 9 earlier in the year. I took a bunch of pics on 13 & 5, and had a good time without going gangbusters & risking more injury. Got a 4 on 12, because I was throwing for the wrong pin I threw straight & barely to the right down by the trees, as opposed to following the obvious mower fairway curving to the right (duh)
Throwing 13, and LOVED ripping my champ destroyer over the water & letting it work back in. The idea seems scary, but to a ballsey player it's not that big of a deal really (or experienced - which I'm somewhere in between)... Anyway, took a 4 on 13, then a nice easy 4 on 5 coming back. (-: But then again, I know "local boy Chase Roberts 3'd that hole in the RCR" Oh well, It wasn't bad for being a little rusty, new course, etc.

I was proud to be dry @ least. Then wrapped up w/ a nice deuce on 6 thanks to my RIDT, then modest pars the rest of the way back to 11. Not a hot round or anything, but a respectable & nice round nonetheless.

Had a good time camping, drinking, doing the family reunion gig, and checking out a sampling of the course. Had a good time, looking forward to the rare chance I'll ever have enough "non-family-time" next summer to play the whole thing.

Good course, guys... (from what I saw)

It's up the hill from the 12 basket, right? Around the corner to the left, and up the hill about 80'? Could have been more, but can't remember. Not saying it was an easy hole, but two clean shots, and a nice smooth upshot led to a clean play there... (-:

Two clean 400-footers, plus chains on the upshot? Nice shooting, the wind and rollaways into the water makes that one a tough 3...and on a broken foot... holy crap what kind of pain killers are those!?

You’re talking about Hole 13? I have played in both Rumbles and have never witnessed a second shot landing pin high 18 feet away. The closest 3 I have witnessed was a 60ft jump putt.

I think those pain killers might have made you forget some throws Jason. There ain't nothin' easy about a 4 on hole 5, and I'll throw down some loot to see you 3 hole 13.
