I'm still not sure how I ran into it...it was on an obscure site and required a little elbow grease to get it converted...not sure how'd I'd even find where I downloaded it from again...I'm sure it will be posted by someone eventually though...

Otherwise, have you guys heard On A Pale Horse? I heard a song on the LAZR Local Licks on Sunday night... They're pretty heavy, but well produced from the song I heard.

O.A.P.H. has been around for a grip. One of there former members is now the bassist for Index Case, an Indianola product.

I used to be good friends with thye guys from Index Case while I was at UNI. I used to be really into that stuff, but it's starting to get watered down and sounding like all the other stuff on any "Modern Rock" station.

The moment we have all been waiting for. Sound Tribe Sector 9 will be making it's first stop in Iowa ever. Better yet, it will be in the best city in the nation, Des Moines.

Date: September 19th (Wedneesday night, perfect middle of the week break, or leave you hurting the rest of the week. Howver you want to look at it)

Venue: Peoples (I have yet to see this place, so I will have to do some research, but from what I here, it is not the best place to host a concert. Which makes me nervous.)

For those that have not heard of STS9, they are one of the top touring jam bands out there today IMO. And to see them live is unbeleivable. You will not see another show with so much energy, I can gaurantee you that. This is the next best jam band to come to Des Moines since String Cheese was here back in '00.

This is not one to miss. I find it very unlikely that they will be back in this area in the near future.

For a taste of their sound (click on music player on the left side of the screen)

Thank you Steve. You always lead me to some good jams.

I am enjoying listening to some STS9 on archive.org, one of the best sites out there. I may have to hit up that show. :D :D

Wise decision.

I would like to schedule a pre party location. Someones house etc... Of course you can never go wrong with Royal Mile/ Red Monk, since we're downtown anyways. :D

I could work with this. I think it would be cool if we all met there before hand. Of course, this is just talk, chances are I probably wouldn't be able to swing it. Definately an idea.

Who's going? I can't make pre-game festivities. Actually, probably won't make it to the show until 10:30.

Jambase has the show starting at 9:00 with an opener. STS9 site has it starting at 8:00. I hope they are LATE. Somebody set off the smoke alarm for me.
