Windflower Mini

Postby Single L » Mon Jun 25, 2007 10:28 pm

The Ghost and I have been talking about a Mini on Wednesday June 27th.
(Not to be confused and/or take away from the usual Mini)

When: Wednesday June 27th between 6:00 and 6:30pm
Where: Norwalk - Windflower Disc Golf Course
What: Possible ace fund, side bets, new course records to set, and most of all fun at a new course.

-original 12 holes and a safari 6 for 18!!

If you haven't played it yet, Wildflower is starting to shape up nicely, one of the "Most Fun" courses in the area.

Of course - I'd have to be in. It's my backyard.

As of yesterday there were still a few piles of debris, but they mowed yesterday and the course is in very good shape considering the recent storm. I know Gary and Jeremy are working a ton of hours doing storm clean up so I don't know if they'd be able to show up.

If we're talking the safari 6 you posted elsewhere then you're looking at a pretty good challenge. Sounds fun!

After seeing the guys @ the city working so hard this week, I doubt they'll be up for a mini this week - and that'll reduce the fun of the mini. LOL Anyway, I think we shuld tentatively give this a week, maybe two for the city to get cleaned up after the tornados, and of course, the course...

I definitely agree that it'd be neat to have a mini, and have me take you guys' money!!! But seriously, great idea, I think we need to hold off after talking to Gary last night...

Reschedule for the 11th, since obvisouly next Weds is the 4th?

I plan on being down there no matter what. So even if they aren’t available I would still like to meet up with whoever still wants to come.

Props go out to Gary and Jeremy, and anyone else that is cleaning up Norwalk for that matter. You guys got hit pretty hard, lots of debris all over town. :(

So far we have myself, Scott Lindsley, Matt, and Jason? Gary is on the fence.

If you have the night open, come down to Norwalk, and yes the Safari Holes should be sweet.

Chuck, the only way I could come is if I bring my kids - and since this is a mini - not a rec round - I think that's uncalled for... sorry guys, I can't make it tonight due to the wife actually having something to do that requires me to get th ekids out of the house.

Jason, it's a mini tourney, and/or like a mini league, per se. last ngith it was Gary, Matt, and Cory & Scott from DSM - who are both very good chuckers. I was too busy to make it @ said time, but came later, and saw they were having fun w/ "safari golf" for the last 6 holes to round out 18. Cory came up w/ a creative layout that lengthened some holes, and simply changed the lines on others.

My kids & I had fun @ least afterward, but still wished i coudl have made it "for real". LOL
