Got my tickets two weeks ago for this.

I'm coming up with my wife and a couple of friends on Thursday night to camp.

We want the funk... gotta have that funk...

I went to Mr. Clinton and P-Funk while I was at UNI in 02. All I can say is get ready for some long ass funky jam sessions that will make you groove. I recall that they had around 15 or so people in the band and a dude in a diaper. It was my first P-Funk encounter, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Sorry, on Thursday nights tickets are around $10. Friday nights are usally $20-$25. Outside of that it's fair game. If it is too big of burden for your wallet, you can enjoy the show from the bridge free of charge. My freinds and I do it all the time. Another positive of being on the bridge is you can BYOB and not get hassled either. Yeah, I am pretty dissapointed that I have to miss P-Funk, never seen him before.

We are in for a treat at the Yonder show Tommorow night

From thier web site:

YONDER'S 1000th SHOW!

Ladies and Gentlemen we are proud and pleased to announce that Yonder will be officially celebrating their 1000th show at Simon Estes Amphitheater in Des Moines, IA on Friday, June 15. Many years ago in 1998 no one in the band could have predicted what they had created when they first began playing the Pioneer Inn in Nederland, CO. As Jeff, Ben, Adam and Dave often mention they are honored to be able to play music for a living, to share it with the band and all of the fans. Here's to the next 1000 shows!

Did anybody check out the Breaking Benjamin concert last night?

Also, who's going to TOOL in CR next Tues? I wanted to go, but never got tix ($)

Thinking about the Collective Soul/Counting Crows/3rd Eye Blid show in August though. That should be a fun summer show.

Greenleaf and Altoff went. Greenleaf won tickets an hour before showtime. Altoff ended up in jail.

Z-Man scrounged up a sound board copy of the Yonder show. Let me know if you are interested in a copy. Haven't listened to it yet, but I hear it is off the hook.

I did scrounge one up...and off the hook is a pretty weak description...Tons of energy...I'm just glad I saw the show and can picture each moment happening as I listen to it over...and over...and over...Sound is stellar too...I was expecting a weak mic style copy...but this sounds like it's fresh from the board...

If you're making copies I'll take one too. I'm kind of surprised it's not on the archive yet. Z-man, can you go backward thru your channels and have the taper post it?

I still have "Polka on the Old Banjo" in my brain.
