Click on that picture, zoom out a couple levels, and use the scale to eyeball it. I stepped it off years ago at just under 400 ft. The scale puts it right in that same neighborhood.

There used to be a pretty nice elevated platform in the next block north, but the aerial makes it look like that has been revamped and may no longer exists.

That Simon Estes hole is part of the Greater Des Moines Traveling Disc Golf Course. We're going to have to do that Des Moines Rolling Disc Golf Tournament one of these years.

Steve, I was checking out their website yesterday. I have one of my really good friends from St. Louis coming up next weekend who is really into the music scene. I thought it looked like most of their stuff was on Thursdays. Anything you know of worthwhile next weekend (Friday or Saturday), I know you'll be in KC, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We were thinking of Blues on Grand Friday for the blind guy from NO, and possibly Raccoon on Saturday. He likes to play pool Dan, down for some 3 ball? Oh, and if I can get him out to Walnut Sunday, he'll be extra added cash. Maybe we could even have a C division and you could win his $5.

Nice, and I'll let you know about some good stuff Jay, let me know what kind of music he's into. I know a great place for some Jazz Friday after Yonder. There's a few other under the radar shows we'll talk about. Are you actually coming to the mini or just posting on the thread?

That is always a safe move. I don't know of anything else going on that weekend.

GDL, are you not into The P-Funk at Simon Estes on June 22nd?

http://www.aliveconcerts.com/

I'm hoping for a "Death Trip>Midwest Gospel Radio>Death Trip" from Yonder, I see they played it last night, hopefully they will be up for another one Friday. Get on Archive.org and download this from the 2007-05-02 Orpheum show, it will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

Friday will be Yonder's 1000th show and the weather looks great. See you then.
Calmer than you are.

Click on the schedule, the 22nd is next Friday. George Clinton and the Parliament. I'm just trying to figure out how they are going to get the mother ship to float down. Do you think they are going to use a "real" one?

Where you getting tickets for $8-12 bucks for this Stevo? Tickets for GC and the P-Funk look to be $35 for GA!
