which drifts me to this: I always thought it was called Disc because Wham-O patented the term Frisbee.

well they call it Disc Golf because back in the early eighties they patented what they call a sort of bevel edge design, Innova Champion, and they started calling it a disc rather than frisbee .......... ... .......... ............ ........ ... ..
