Proposed new rule : Discs that land in the bunker will be placed on the opposite side of bunker and then played from outside the bunker -- no penalty. When a disc lands in the bunker, a straight line will be drawn from the pole of the basket, through the center of the disc, to the other side of the bunker. Disc is placed on the edge of the bunker (within 1 meter from the rim) and played with no penalty.

This drawing illustrates the rule.

I get both. I could see the proposed rule confusing people. Last year golfers misplayed the golf cart paths and whether or not they were ob even though you clearly stated it in the player's meeting. I would say standard ob and maybe move the baskets a little further from the sand. My 2cents.

I agree with AO. Well thought out hole placement using OB can provide risk/reward opportunities, making a good hole into a great hole.

I'd put the baskets in the bunkers on the par 3s and make everything else OB.

That is an interesting thought, but it takes the topography out of it.

It's amazing what people hear. I think the rule would have to be explained to everyone at the meeting and also labeled on the course map. Persons are smart, people are dumb.

All I read was byob. But seriously, don't that cause for them to lose their liquor license.

Yes, I think I want to come this year. Wasn't the weather bad last year? I recall thinking about coming, but must have pussed out.
