I'll buy that graph. The "W" owns it right up to Jan 20, 2009. Any debt racked up after that belongs to Obama. I mean, he is President, isn't he? Dems had majorities in house and senate when he got elected. They still have the senate.

It can't be "Bush's fault" forever, can it?
Maybe it can.
It's 2013, and Bug's still blaming REAGAN!!!

By the way, The American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012, signed by Obama on Jan 2, 2013, ended the Bush tax cuts for the richest Americans. It also made the current tax rates for others permanent. Therefore, there are no longer ANY "Bush tax cuts." There only Obama era tax rates.

Americans told President Obama in 2012, "If you like your popularity, you can keep it." We lied. Ron Fournier

That graph also shows two war deficits going on in perpetuity, and an ongoing "recovery measures" deficit right alongside an economy deficit factor that continues to add onto the sum without ever recovering. At the end of that graph, in 2019 Bush will have been out of office for 10 years and we'll be still blaming him for sh!t we still can't fix? And can't even get an inflection point in the trend lines? W. T. F. I don't care which side of the aisle you are on, you should be able to recognize that is totally pathetic ineptitude.

Either that or the graph is b.s.

Well, those bills just keep on rolling in. They don't disappear from the budget. The point is that there is no way to get a fresh start in 2009. You're saddled with the ongoing budget, and if that budget is in deficit, it adds to the national debt. The point of the chart is to display that the budget deficits inherited from the bush admin, keep adding until we do something about it. It shows the ratio of new spending incurred by the current administration and congress, to the ongoing cost of the spending incurred by the bush admin and congress. Obama has actually had the lowest increase in spending on his watch since Eisenhower, one of the reasons that the budget deficit is receding. How do we get out from under the bush legacy? Letting the unpaid for tax cuts expire when they were supposed to apparently would have helped as an example. Draw down on our wars more quickly would help as well.

Oh, and I think Obama is the best president since I've been alive, for certain. Including Clinton. I don't agree with everything he has done of course, and he's made some mistakes. But given what he has had to work with, (or not work with, #obstructionist congress), he's done a lot of good things. You want to see ineptitude, take a look at repubs in congress. :|

The GOP is the side that fails to compromise, and the worst thing that happened to this country was George Bush! As far as the direction of this country? If you don't like the way the government is going you could always try secession like the idiots in Northern Colorado? Or if you REALLY like things like they were back in the good old days....grow your beard out and join an Amish church, that way no matter where the country goes you can be assured you are on Gods' path........ Maytag park is nice place to throw, you could park the horse and buggy right there on the road! :P

America was founded BY liberals, touting EXTREMELY liberal ideas, founded by long-hairs who marched to a different drummer! This is EVERYONES country, not just the conservatives! Where in the hell do you get off telling anyone to get out? Sounds like the same idiots screaming "America love it or leave it" in the 60s trying to justify a war with absolutely no justification! If YOU don't like it here....leave! I hear Russia is a good old fashioned conservative country, they hate gays....love guns....women "know" thier place...minorities have very little rights....No such thing as the EPA....sounds like your paradise dude! Planes are leaving daily, I hear apartments around Chernobyl are renting for just a song!

The GOP seem to have no shame.....the same guys who are having investigation after investigation over Benghazi, because it caused the deaths of 4 americans..... remind me again how many investigations did the GOP launch over the Iraq war? A war that was launched on "faulty intel" ....IE pure bull-hockey, 4486 men killed....how many wounded? over 3 trillion dollars squandered and spent? Where was the "moral" outrage? The concern for the national debt?...Whose "head" rolled? I hear them using the word impeachment over each and every issue, but somehow they didn't even bring the word up during Georgies rule? ROTFL A guy who took us into 2 wars (2 unpaid for, 1 on pure lies) missed the existing intel for 9-11, and squandered the first surplus in generations, leaving a huge deficit, and absolutely ruined our international standing by his blunders....they should catch afire for even mentioning the word now!

Where does all this hate for Obama spring from? It has been there from the start. He is fairly moderate, catching it from his own side for not being liberal enough! I here the right screaming about "having to buy health insurance, and being told how much they have to carry" seems to chap their butt for some reason, yet, they have no problem being "made" to buy car insurance and being "told" how much they have to have!....same with home insurance! Pure sophistry, just a reason to hate, too many hate on him because he is black. What will be the GOPs reason to hate the next Democratic president?.......because she is a woman?

Socialist president? You're an idiot. Learn what that means and tell me how that applies to America. Why is it the only people polled who think the economy is on track is the 1%? Or why the stock market is doing so well? I loved Tufs comparison to auto insurance. LOL! Spot on. Dictator? Well he keeps negotiating with issues where you have something to say, but the other party involved in this "group decision" is at every turn a complete flipping baby, crying and pouting, demanding no compromise at all. Instead of laying down fruitful ideas, all I ever hear from the right is that we need to scrap the whole thing. Thanks for the help guys! You're input is indeed helpful, insightful, and well…repetitive. Its like asking someone for help and the answer you get is with folded arms, "We don't wanna!" Wah, cry. At heart, my principles are republican, but I'll never vote for them, because they don't represent my interests. I live with 4 other people, and am the only one prepared enough to have first aid. When someone cuts themselves, they need a bandaid, but is it my job to provide one? But now its an emergency and they are bleeding. I don't deny them, nor to I run to get them. Thats why I'll be an independent for life. Buying everyones bandaids on my dime is not fair, and denying bandaids when someone needs them is not me. This whole ACA thing could be awesome if we all put some thought into it, but all we get is feet dragging whiners and idealists (flip those roles for which ever party is in the majority). I would like to see people pay out of pocket for things like boxer's fractures, smoking related emphysema, type 2 diabetes, std treatments, self induced injuries, proven hypochondriacs, motorcycle injuries, assault, etc. Healthcare should have been a right to all of us, probably before free speech. But healthcare should be rooted in taking care of YOURSELF. Something this country has no idea how to do.

A man sits down in a nice restraint and looks over the menu.
The waiter says, "what will you have?"
The man says, "Steaks are $35, that's too rich for my blood. I'm not going to order."
The waiter replies, "There's a party of 8 in the next room, order the steak and I'll just put it on their bill. They won't notice."
The man eats his steak and leaves happy.

2 things:
1. The steak did not become less expensive.
2. The other party who paid got screwed over.

A real story of Obamacare:
http://youtu.be/1T0N3x2qtQM

Notice how she moans about the waiter being unwilling to put her steak on someone else's bill.
Look for the term "Useful Idiot." Her photo pops up.

What do you suppose she'd say if we asked her to subsidize ME??????
