Tree's disappearing

Tree's disappearing

Postby SpikeHyzer » Sun Sep 15, 2013 1:58 pm

I don't want to get on here and bitch about a course, especially since I haven't put any sweat equity into course work over the past 3-4 years. But, I played a round at GV this morning and was shocked at the amount of trees being cut down out there. I can understand the dead tree on 17, but the tree that was on 13 didn't need to be cut down(If it was dead, then I would change my opinioin). The tree on hole 9 didn't need to be cut down. The tree on hole 1?! The tree on hole 5 as well. What's the deal with all the clearing that is going on at GV? Is the club going to look at possibly redesigning some of the holes out there?

I figured that it was city work, but they are destroying that course. Not to mention, that tree on 17 has been sitting in the middle of fairway for almost month now.

The borer is still just along the mississippi. Creeping west every year.

EAB was actually confirmed in Fairfield last month, so it's definitely beyond just the Mississippi River areas.
