Monday Night Throwdown

Postby shane » Tue Mar 27, 2007 9:09 pm

Starting April 2nd ProFlight Discs will be starting the throwdown back up. As it was last year this will still be a handicapped league running weekly at Grandview. Registration will be from 5:15 or so until 5:50. tee time 6 pm. The cost is five bucks per night with an optional buck for a rolling ace fund. Which is close to two hundred as it sits. There will be a 100% payback nightly to the top third.
Hope to see you there.[/url]

Shane... I've never participated in your league... how does the handicapping system work?

If you have a player rating from the PDGA I'll use it until I can get you a league handicap. If not I just guess for the first couple of weeks (i've been pretty money so far) I have list which is course par that I go off of. I believe every stroke is worth 11 points on the rodney scale :) . Basically if you're average is 5 under then you're shooting a 1000 rated there on the longs. I'm going off the top of my head here so forgive me if I'm wrong. At 1000 you get no strokes at 4 under or 989 you get 1 stroke, at 3 under or 978 you get 2 strokes and so on. I have people from getting no strokes all the way to getting 17. It actually makes for a very level playing feild and works extremely well. Hope to see you there.

Don't forget everyone the Throwdown starts tonight at 6. Try to be there around 5:30 or so so I don't have problems getting everyone signed up and on their tees at 6. Peace

ace fund cashed out last night, which cut the $218 in there to $109. Thanks to Duden and Freddie for the $5-outs too.

#4---alt tee, due to tee ball in the fairway, pin in long position. Probably about 280-300 feet. DX Roc. The drought is over, finally.

I thought that would've been obvious by me thanking Duden and Freddie for the 51 club payouts.

I might actually show up for this, my rating last as it stood was 863 :D , by my count that should give me 14 strokes, make sure you bring a CE Firebird.

Hey Shane I'll be at the throwdown tomorrow night, but I might get there a couple minutes before six, because I don't get off until 5:30, so can you please save me a spot.
