Based on courses alone many locations in Iowa could host worlds. That said Worlds many times are held on, for us spoiled Iowans, lesser courses. Staff, funding, logistics, etc play a bigger role that courses ...... They have a bath tub on a worlds course this year  ..... Cool for rec play, but silly for our sports biggest week.

I really hope Cale can pull one out. He's capable as any of these guys.

I do it every year. Would like to do it on a weekend I'm off but hasn't happened yet. Damn shift work.

59 today...grind grind grind grind grind. Shots are tough and courses have a lot of hazzards if you don't pure the shot. If I don't make my 25-40ft putts today I shoot a 68 easy. That's been my entire tournament. Awful off the tee and draining putts from all over...minus #16 on Blue yesterday.....51 on Gold is silly and the 1070 rating is rather lame. Should be at least 10-15 points higher imo.

Is it just me, or is Ragna Bygde the hottest FPO golfer out there?? And she throws casual 380' bombs....

Anxious to hear some reviews...

All in all it was a pretty good week. I heard a lot of complaints about various things, but I thought most of them were petty. The courses were fine. I really like the Gold course and the Blue course is pretty fun. I didn't hate the White course. It had it's moments. Probably a little rough and there were some really pinchy flow spots. One par 4 had drives crossing another par 4 and landing on the green of a par 3 next to it. Another par 3 literally hyzered right down the fairway of another hole. I started on it Friday and it took us over 5 minutes to get to the green before the other group was allowed to tee off. After losing a disc on the next hole there were 3 groups backed up already.

The weather was nearly spectacular. It was a little muggy when the wind wasn't hitting you, but sunny and avoided some pretty good storms nearby a couple times. Chad's place was awesome. AO's attitude is nothing short of tremendous. Definitely had a good time with those guys, Jared Roan, Callaway and Schlabach. I was really happy with how I played the first 2 days, but the wheels definitely came off on Thu. I really mishandled my strategy that day and completely lost focus. Kind of felt like an out of body experience that may or may not have happened! The putter definitely left me that last 3 rounds. Other than having my best round playing with AO on Wed, the highlight of the week was nearly going back to back with Philo on hole 9 on the Blue course. He aced and I missed about 2 ft behind it. Then on Friday I threw the same shot and chained out somehow. The basket is hiding behind a tree, but it made a really funny sound that included a lot of chains and metal.

The ratings inflation argument is just retarded. Some of these rounds I think are underrated as AO said earlier. I can't even describe how good some of these rounds are, let alone putting 6 or 7 of them together. Guys were making 10-11 deuces on the Blue course where there's only 12 possible. The talent in the 30-60 range in Open is unbelievable. I forgot to look up his name, but I played with some Barret kid Friday morning who is amazing. He missed one putt the whole round.

Yes, Mr. G, I played (albeit not very well), but still managed to have some fun. My little 7 year tournament hiatus had a bit of an impact on my game to say the least. But, I just might even be spotted at another tournament in the not so distant future...

The best and most important part of the week was seeing Becky be inducted into the Disc Golf Hall of Fame! This was my inspiration for going and my new found inspiration for getting more involved in the sport again. :P

nice Jon! I should mention that you did make it out for the FBI last year - and we got to play together. Good times. Glad you had fun out there. Wish I could've made it.
