You drive up to a parking lot where you can access 5 courses (probably more like 7 since the last time I was there a couple of years ago). It's some pretty breath taking dg from certain holes/views if you're talking mid September (can't remember the dates off the top of my head that you guys are talking about) when the leaves are turning. Some holes you can see for miles around.
There are two courses (gold and granite) that you can take a golf cart on. It's $10 a day/person which is cheap imo. Ashland is about 10-15 minutes away (which is right by Superior) and has a restaurant there with some good microbrews and good food. I think they have music there as well on the weekend.
It would be too easy for me to say "come to the Twin Cities" because of course I'd be biased. Just wanted to make an arguement as to why a 7 hour drive would be well worth it. You're not going to find an area in any state right now where you can access 6-7 courses from one parking lot. (Maybe Houcks new place but I couldn't tell ya)
