IowaDG.com stickers

Postby Like_Water » Tue Apr 17, 2007 1:00 pm

I think we need to get some kind of promotional thing, like a sticker we can put in player packs and on course message boards. Of course the issue of vandalism arises when we talk stickers so maybe it's not the best idea. I just know that there are alot of people who have no idea this site exists.

If we had the IowaDG.com logo in every message board in CR, IC, QC and DM, we would get at least twice the amount of traffic.

Just don't sticker up the baskets like the DGTV.com stickers I found wrapped around the poles at ISU.

I wonder who did that. I played with Lagger at Pickard and DGTV has sweet spot stickers that they were putting in the baskets anywhere that didn't have them. Those were very discrete and looked like they belonged as they should.

Advertising has no place on the equipment. That's why we have a message board at the 1st tee. If we let DGTV sticker up the baskets and tee signs, everybody else is going to put theirs on. I've seen courses like that. It looks like shit.

I'm talking about the 3 or 4 inch bright orange sticker in the middle of the pole. You could hardly see their name. I'm not defending them though. I bet you know where to get a hold of them if you want to tell them to stop.

Exactly.

Incidentally, the baskets at ISU already have the orange sticker. These were white and were stuck just under the chain hanger.

I thought the orange sticker was a good way to get a sticker on a pole without looking like vandlisim. However, just like acehunt, when you hand out stickers, they will end up on baskets.

I guess we probably need more of a poster that can be posted is message boards.
