2013 Course Work

Postby hyzerman16234 » Wed May 01, 2013 7:59 pm

Lots of progress burning/cutting brush and 2011 storm damage recently. 2B area is cut up. 3 is done. 4 is done on the left side. 5B pin/6 tee area is cut up. 8 is almost cut up and we have 9 piles ready to burn. 9 is cut up. 16 right side is done through the B pin. That's in the last 2 weeks. Wish I had a couple months off to finish it.

Holes 3 through 6 weed-whacked yesterday, the letter holes plus 7 and 8 are all that is left that need a trim. The rest of the course is in good shape other than a few washed out areas needing some fill dirt.....damn those 4 inch rains.

The front is fully weed whacked. The back is fully mowed.

Very productive last couple days. The back was ALL mowed after the BW's left Thursday, thanks to Mark Johnson and Crager!! Tee pads #4, A and C were re-leveled, thanks to Crager and Timmy for the help! Btchn and Crager filled in the washout hole on #14 at the first wall, much better now! New roughtop traction belting has been installed on the bridge crossing at #1 too.

Did some wash out filling around 17 pad yesterday, hope it didn't wash out again this morning. :x

Also put in a temporary "am" pad on #10, it is up the fairway from the current pad roughly 60'-70' and off to the right, set back into the woods about 30'. This straightens the hole out with a good view of the B pin placement which is about a 270' - 280' drive to park it through the two big oaks. The C pin will play roughly 310' to 320' with a hyzer needed at the end to land on the green. We'll see how it plays for a while and decide if it will be a permanent fixture. Feedback is welcome.
