Burr Oak Savanna opening

Postby Burr oak savanna » Wed Mar 13, 2013 3:48 pm

Just thought I would drop a note that we are still planning on opening April 1 2013. The weather has not been kind for some of the touch ups but the pads are poured and the baskets set.The frost still need to go out for some signage that looks like it will happen. HOWEVER I want you to enjoy the course and with this late spring, seeding has not been done so there will be MUD. If the weather is at all wet I would recomend you wait till the 15 of April for you first trip.
I'm on facebook so you can get daily report on the course condition when needed.
Thanks

Can't rush mother nature! Take your time, there's plenty of year left, a few weeks to do it right is no big deal.

Can't wait to see this, is the creek in play?

We will be open April 1. The course will probably be as easy as it will ever be (no grass or leaves)
. Just some mud in places. Frost not out yet but it going thankfully.
Just for the ones that don't know it is a pay to play course.$3 for adults for all day. With purchase you can come and go during the day. Play 1 or2 rounds then for a change of pace go to Wildcat the 34th ranked course in the country. It is only 7 mile north. Then come back for a night cap.
There are 2 boxes scorecard and envelope in large one. Write your name,( city optional) on envelope.
Put money in then slide it in front of small box. Thanks

Is there a season fee as opposed to a per/day fee?

Whoa. I have to play 25 times in the year to make it worth while.

It won't be for everyone. Locals might make it work

A season pass doesn't really apply to me as I will be lucky to make it up there once or twice a year, so paying the daily fee isn't an issue. But $75 seems a bit steep considering a P2P course went in last year in the DSM area and its season pass is like $20 or $25. Bryant Lake in Minnesota, also a P2P course, is an unbelievable park and is only $35 a year for a season pass(Includes two other area courses that are P2P as well in that $35).

I am a local...on a conservative level I play 100-150 rounds a year. Even if I bump that to 200 a year, with the variety and amount of different courses it just seems high priced for a single season. I will probably pay anyway to help and get you started, especially if free camping is included.

I can't wait to PLAY IT.

Yes chubs catfish bass had a couple northers in past years.
Campers will have full use of about 100 acres creek, trail, and free wood, need it pick up anyway. Lol
