Iowa Rep for 2013 USDGC (Performance Flight)

Postby Clue » Sun Mar 03, 2013 12:11 pm

Same thing as last year. I get to appoint one Iowan to send to the USDGC to compete in the Performance Flight. I want to hear from those of you who are interested in going. I'm going to make more announcements this spring to gauge interest and then come up with a plan to decide who gets to go.

For those of you who haven't been, I highly recommend it. I had a great trip (again) last year. There's a lot to do on the way and while you're there in addition to competing and seeing the most professionally run tournament in our sport.

Sell it. Biggest private cash donation to a tournament. Rules: Must be at least $100 more than previous largest cash donation. So we don't have donkeys trying to out do someone by $1.

When did playing disc golf become about the money?

Playing disc golf can be about what ever you want it to be. I am not saying you need to donated XXX to play. I am trying to say Matt donated alot of money and should be rewarded for it. If anyone wants to donate more money than him then great. Do it and buy the spot away from him.

Again we are talking about an awesome vacation to be able to play in the performance flight.

Clue is the person who gets to decide ultimately.

Donating to charity is either for good nature or taxes. Seeking recognition for charity is wrong. I doubt Matt did it for recognition, so give it up Dustin. Every dger in Iowa has a chance for that spot. Don't discredit anyone, and let people out there put their own names in the hat.

Seeking recognition for charity is not the same as recognition of charity. I don't understand how I am discrediting anyone (beyond Spikehyzer  ). But consider it dropped.
