A bad day at disc golf is still better than a good day at anything else.... Unless its also disc golf

Losing My Religion, shifted into a Major scale. I barely even know what Minor and Major are, but this is trippy stuff:

the coolest part of that is how easy all of those are on resources. in java my machine would've blown up trying to do more than half of those. same for flash.

I imagine we could fill a whole thread with awesome camera shots/effects from movies, but whatever. I watched "Contact" this weekend -- I hadn't ever noticed this trick shot before.

Thanks Scott! My dad use to drag me outside to watch it fly over the horizon. This will be a valuable glow tool.

there's an app in the android market called Satellite AR that will track visible objects (including the ISS) in real time. Like Google Sky, which you all should obviously know all about.

no problem, I use it all the time out here in the desert.

Use the "potentially visible objects" most. It does a pretty good job of calculating what is above you AND making sure it is at a visible angle to reflect sun to your gps coordinates.

If you use the ISS button it will tell you when the next potentially visible flyover is. Also, you can get real in depth with the settings and some of the other functions. It will let you actually plot out the area of the sky objects will eventually be moving through, mark them on your phone, then overlay it to the background your camera see's.

I think so too. Especially love it when they come swooping in low. Wonder what makes them do it, looks like mainly for fun. Here is another...
