It was definitely an "Askren style" fight, but more entertaining than his last fight. He's adding to his game, you can tell. He's not changing his style though, simply adding some to it, and that evolution should work out well for him.

I got a HUGE kick out of that Frenchie calling him a pussy, and not a real fighter & stuff though. Class was in session once that moron got on his back though.

Decent card for this Saturday.... We'll have to see if Diaz's cocky fearless attitude can take out GSP's conservative chess like game plan. Funny to see Marquardt back in UFC after Dana said he would never fight in the UFC ever again.....

Yeah, Bellator didn't make an offer to their most dominant champ, but they can match any offer he gets. The catch is the ufc can offer ppv points and Bellator has never had one. They are with washed up ufc guys Tito and rampage, but they won't bring near the money the ufc ppv will. Eddie Alvarez tried to take it to court but Bellator flexed their Viacom muscle and now Eddie has fallen back in line and settled the suit.

Askren says he isn't worried about it. He has nothing to prove in his mind. He'll go out and dominate and talk shit. No one outside the ufc will stop him.

The bad part of this is Bellator was emerging as a solid promotion, building credible talent and putting on great fights. Now they are Viacom mma, picking up UFC scraps for a quick cash grab. Tito vs Rampage? Neither has won a fight in over 2 years. Even at a reduced price, you're only getting the ignorant mma fan, how long can that last?

Watched the Jones v. Gustavson highlights. Jones looked like he got hit with a hammer and needed help getting back to the locker room. Alexander was spent though and just heard he had never been 5 rounds. Rematch would be fun to watch. What a battle this fight was.

Best fight since shogun /hendo, and this was with relevant fighters. I thought Gustafson would be subbed within 3 rounds. To only be taken down once was unreal. Jones looked mortal.

Great news from Bellator. Maybe now Askren can test himself against a top 10 guy in the UFC. Ben, Dana, make it happen.

Bummer. Seems like it has nothing to do with Askren's skill and everything to do with trying to make Bellator look bad.

I thought I read Dana doesn't like the way Askren fights, too.

If you read the first article the owner of Bellator basically called Ben a one-dimensional fighter as well.
