Pulled

Pulled

Water works has been pulled due to the (lack of) insight by the Water Works Board. (R.I.P.) :( She was getting pretty sad, but it was a nice place to get away from the crowds at Grandview and Ewing and throw extra drives and not be rammed up the butt by local helmets.

That's what Margo is for.

Wonder if they have plans to put the course somewhere else. Wonder who officially owns the baskets.

Well, I seem to recall that they were purchased with donated funds.

An inquiry by a club officer might be in order.

Baskets are owned by water works. I beleive we have asked for them to be donated to the club.

Went to add this to my dgcoursereview profile....
SO F*ING SAD!
This was my first ever experience disc golfing. Played it with the fellow Eagle Scout who put it in, and a disc golfing pal of mine who has since passed due to brain cancer. I was so sad when I came back to the course years later to find every pin had the solar panels smashed or burnt.

I'll still think of you Water Works Park when I drive through the holiday lights crying.

Des Moines Parks and Rec has been entertaining the thought of putting DG back into Water Works. Last time I was there they had a sign showing possible improvements to the park with disc golf being one of the possibilities and even had a disc golfer come to one of there planning meetings. I wish I had more info about this but wanted to post anyways.
