because you certainly have enough first hand knowledge of alternatives to make such a ridiculous statement...

That statement was anything but ridiculous. Life is about caveat emptor. There has been no era, country, or system in human history where that was/is not good advice.

Another motto to live by: "Never front out anything you can't afford to lose."

Or this: "Once is an accident, twice is a coincidence, 3 times is a pattern."

Ok, I'm trying to help Steve automate his extensive Bushwhacker stats system. One of the things he keeps track of are player ratings. He gets those by manually entering the scores into a locked ratings template. I want to automate that calc.

Since the template is locked and I don't have the password, I can't see the calcs, also difficult to modify the template for my purposes of lookups etc.

I know the formulas are out there somewhere but I'm a little lazy. Anyone have an existing spreadsheet with formulas for calcing player ratings that I can bootleg for my use? (or the password to the PDGA ratings template?)

Formulas that were backward engineered from tourney results are here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... y=CIeS3LcH

Note that there are 2 formulas -- use one if the SSA is below 50.4, use the other if it is above 50.4.

Let me know if questions.
