The way it is setup now the total D is 6837. My Estimates for total distance with everything in the long is 8272, with everything in the middle is 6850, with everything in the short is 5250.

I actually only helped on #1. Joe did the rest. I thought that #8 was in the long position and was around 900, but I could be wrong... Again.

It is 907(ish) if you play along the brushline the whole way. Of course if you do that you're saving about 65' feet and adding about 3 strokes. It isn't quite in the long position; we can make it a little longer and there will probably be about 5 pin positions for hole 8.

What's the "current" distance 05/07/2007 ?

Postby Haplo » Tue May 08, 2007 2:57 pm

Is there a web site where the current distance is shown? http://www.discgolfunited.com does not have middle park listed yet, but one can enter the distance to calculate your handicap.

Excellent course information, but...

Postby Haplo » Tue May 08, 2007 4:08 pm

...I was wondering if someone records and posts the current basket locations someplace, so I can note them before I get there. Thanks RedBird88.

Thanks for pointing me to the course website. :D

Haplo, I thought ALL of Galva was "rural". Is there a suburb of Galva somewhere that we ddon't know about? And what ever happened to the course in Galva. That thing ruled. Tim Miller used to tell us stories from out there. Sounded like a good time...

Yes, Galva is a rather rural location, but I live way North of Galva which is even more rural! 8)

I'm sorry to say I know nothing about actually getting a disc course in Galva and I've always been a lone golfer :( HOWEVER - A twelve basket course at chautauqua park in Kewanee, Illinois is suppose to be in place before the summer!! YIPPIE :D :D :D
