The Rumble April 27th-28th 2013 PDGA A-Tier Event- VO Qualifier

Its official. The Rumble will be making a return to A-Tier status and will also serve as a Vibram Open Qualifier. We are excited and commited to making this into one of the best tournaments in the World.

The Vibram Open Qualifier will go to the highest finisher who paid the $10 additional entry to try out for a spot at the Vibram Open NT event August 22-25 2013 at the famous Maple Hill Course. If you have never been there, pay the $10 and try for it. Its an amazing event.

There may be alot of tournaments this year, but I dont think many will offer anywhere near this kind of challenging golf. Right now we are working with the Visitors Center and local cities to offer low hotel rates and fun after golf entertainment.

We are seeking sponsors of all types. We expect Sunday to be a pretty festive day at West Lake and plan on renting multiple shelters. Got an idea on how to help make the event a must hit? Drop us a line. We are open to all suggestions. The goal is to make this the destination point tourney anyone who has been here before already expects it to be.

The Line-Up.

Camden 2 ( 18 holes ) will be Saturday A.M. round
Credit Island ( 18 holes ) will be Saturday P.M. round
>>Player Party<<
West Lake Sunday 10 A.M. - 24 holes of greatness!

In the event Credit is flooded, Middle will be used in its place. If the construction is not finished, Eastern will sub in. If there is overflow of players, the schedule will be split and tee times will start early on Sunday. Additional courses that may be used will include Middle Park*, Eastern Avenue, Camden 1 or Prospect.

The Pro side has $2k already, which is just over the minimum allowed. We are working to increase that and think it should be just fine by April.
The Am player package will be HUGE. The payout will go DEEP. Keep in mind, We love hosting the Pros, but the Ams keep us in business.

Online Registration will be going up on Christmas. Stay tuned to this thread for all new info and check out the facebook site for other updates!

I need to become a PDGA member to take part in this, correct?

Also, when registration occurs do I have to decide on Rec or Intermediate at the time of signup?

Yes. For an A-Tier you must be a PDGA member. You can choose to play a different divison at any point up until the Wednesday before the event.
