MDR had some Goose Island Bourbon Stout last weekend at WL. Super strong at 15% abv but tasty. I've also tried Lucky Bastard and Double Bastard from Founders.

Anyone had any Evil Twin? Interested in giving it a go.

My wife bought a four pack of those Bourbon Stout for me. Really too heavy for me, like a barley wine. I'll finish them off at 6.00 a bottle or so, but it will be one at a time for sure.

edit price: $24 or so for a 4 pack of 12 oz.

Goose Island just showed up in Charlotte. I'll probably get a little here and there, but I have a hard time supporting these breweries that sell out to the big boys.

That Celebrator often makes these lists. Don't recall ever having one, but see it in the stores a lot...

Yeah, I've seen that as well around CR and this too

http://buyingguide.winemag.com/catalog/ ... ambic-beer

Probably going to try both. And if anyone is in the area you have to stop at the 32nd/Oakland Rd Hy-Vee. It's done being remodeled and new beers are coming in weekly. Best place to get beer and booze in CR. I like Benz too but they limit how much you can purchase.

Any of you get heartburn from the hoppy and spice beers? Been backing off of them lately.

Stouts and browns mostly
