um yeah, that's the story your story teller cousin got since he gets all butt-hurt when people don't respond to his texts. I saw it around 11. If I would have seen it with only 30 minutes to spare, rearranging our departure time and getting the wife to alllow it on that short of notice wouldn't have happened. A text the night before would have gotten me there.....j/s

I thought I had to work Monday, and didnt find out I didnt until later Sunday, and we just kinda threw the trip together at Poker that night...Sorry Guy.

Smithville

Finally got to check some of this out. Had my daughter with me Sunday and played a little of the white course (as much as an 8 year old can handle on a cold windy day). From what I could tell, this was definitely the easier of the three but not a pitch n putt though. Monday, the blue course was pretty cool. Not a bad balance between technical and long holes. Was playing pretty good until I got to hole 15 and 16 where the fact that I had no friggin clue where I was going combined with a 30MPH wind coming off the lake kinda kicked my ass. Didn't get to play the gold but it looked fairly tough what I saw. Didn't have to pay the five bucks as there wasn't anyone there to take it.

If they keep working on it I can see it being a pretty cool place for me to escape my in-laws' house for the better portion of the day. I could have used a map to get around a little better. Baskets were nice, but tee signs would have been nice. I am not the best critic as I haven't played too many courses I didn't like, but I agree with the others that a combo trip to here and KC would make a sweet weekend.

 We got a little confused there as well. The tee pad for 15 looks to not be finished yet, well...its finished but they haven't cut thru the woods to make it a hole yet. The temp was right along the road that is right behind 1's basket. So if you would have finished hole one, you keep walking to the road, and take a right down it. The basket is hidden unless you walk out into the field for a couple hundred feet.

Definitely. If you are heading down there to play these courses, save yourself some time and keep going down to KC. Completely forgettable courses.

For Real??? I didn't play the first course (think it's bever?) But I like the other two courses. I really dig Woodhinge! I thought it had about every shot you could ask for. I really wish I could have played there today and you could have worked for me!

Don't get me wrong, Woodhenge was a lot better than Beaver, but after the first 7 holes, the course gets pretty boring.
