The doubles and triples tournaments will not count towards the series in terms of the points structure. Unsanctioned events, including the Cherry Fest and the Glo Popcorn Festival Tournament will count towards the series. Here is the points structure:

Points System for the Series
C-Tier – 5 points for everyone you beat and 5 points for showing up (first place gets an additional 10 points, while second place gets an additional 5 points)
A/B-Tier – 10 points for everyone you beat and 10 points for showing up (first place gets an additional 15 points, while second place gets an additional 10 points)

Prizes for the Series
Men’s Pro – Top Pro is guaranteed $450 cash for winning the series (second place will get $200 cash)
Men’s Advanced – Top Advanced player is guaranteed at least $300 in merchandise money
Men’s Intermediate – Top Intermediate player is guaranteed at least $150 in merchandise money
NOTE: These are the only guaranteed divisions to get a prize – the payout for other divisions and the series structure will be determined based on the number of players in each division

The points system is simple - you get points in the division you play in and you can't move those points around. If you want to play Masters one tournament and Advanced another tournament, those points will count in the Masters and Advanced divisions respectively.

We will have more information on the Facebook page of Plastic Addicts and will have information sent out via email as well. In addition, information will be posted on http://www.illinoisdiscolf.com

We are still looking for a few large sponsors so if you know of anyone that is interested please let me know by emailing me at nate@ledgestonegrp.com

We are also happy to announce that Dana Vicich, Nate Yemm, and Wes Jacobson will be sponsored players for 2012. Happy throwing and we'll see you for the first event in March at Galesburg!

In addition, we'd like to thank the PFC for sponsoring our series and allowing us to use their website and forums to promote the events. Go PFC!

EDIT: Schedule has been updated to reflect a few additional tournaments.

Series points have been reflected to show the results from the Cherry Festival tournament. We will also have the running totals up tonight as well and I went ahead and corrected the Canton doubles tournament to be on Saturday, August 18th.

We are also excited to announce that we have raised an additional $2500 for the series via the additions of new sponsors over the last two days. We are happy to announce that ABC Discs is on board as a sponsor for the series! Thanks to Dan Pastore and ABC Discs. Because of Dan's involvement we have added one more tournament to the series and we will be announcing that shortly. Also a big thanks to the Village of Morton for stepping up in a big way and giving the LIS series a nice grant. Also, thanks to Erie Insurance for stepping up their contribution to the series. We have also added World of Vitamins as a sponsor.

Come on out Saturday for the Illinois Amateur Championship presented by Huk Lab!

Series points are reflected through all events, including the B Tier:

https://docs.google.com/a/ledgestonegrp ... Kdnc#gid=3

Tight battles remain in Advanced Women (Christy Fraticola and Colleen Thompson are tied), Men's Recreation, Men's Intermediate, Pro Masters and Men's Pro.

The Men's Pro division will be very interesting, as it looks like it will come down to the A Tier with Dana, Nate Yemm, and Steve Slater battling it out for the big prize. Pro Masters is an all out duel between Doug Payne and Dan Pastore. That division looks like it will come down to the end as well. Those two have been competing on the course and on Facebook!

We will also officially have a Novice Payout for the series, as it looks to be a battle between Chris Wentworth and Tim Cerven. Both are signed up for this weekend and both will probably be playing the A Tier. Mark Harston looks to be have an insurmountable lead in Advanced Senior Grandmasters!

If you want your points there are a few events left before the A Tier, including the 8/25 event at Washington this weekend, the Pekin Double Weekend (Popcorn Glo Tournament 8/31 and ABC Discs Open 9/1), and then the Bradley event on 9/8.

The Men's Intermediate looks to be a huge battle, with seven people still in the ball game. Men's Recreation will be a tight battle as well with a lot of people still in it. All of the events will be key coming down the stretch to win the Ledgestone Cup!

Here are the final breakdowns for the spots that will receive a payout/plaque or cup:

MPO:
1st Place - Gold Ledgestone Cup and $450 Cash
2nd Place - Ledgestone Cup and $200 Cash

MPM:
1st Place - Ledgestone Cup and $100 LIS bucks
2nd Place - Trophy and $50 LIS bucks

MA1:

MA2:
1st Place - Ledgestone Cup and $150 LIS bucks
2nd Place - Trophy and $50 LIS bucks
3rd Place - Trophy and $25 LIS bucks

MA3:
1st Place - Ledgestone Crystal and $75 LIS bucks
2nd Place - Trophy and $40 LIS bucks
3rd Place - Trophy and $25 LIS bucks

MA4:
1st Place - Trophy and $30 LIS bucks
2nd Place - Trophy and $15 LIS bucks

MS1:
1st Place - Trophy and $30 LIS bucks

FW1, FW2, FW3 Each:

As a note, we'd like to apologize for the confusion with the Series payout. After discussing this and looking at what was posted, we have amended the payouts to reflect the original post in February with the higher guarantees listed on the BN Forums. It was a mistake on my part and I apologize for the confusion. All posts should be reflected to update the payout confusion. It did only affect three places - MA1 first place, MA2 first place, and MPO second place.

Points have been updated for the final time before the A Tier to include the Erie Insurance Open!

https://docs.google.com/a/ledgestonegrp ... Kdnc#gid=0

Feel free to check out the series rules if there is any confusion about the number of tournaments required, points for the A Tier, etc.

There are a lot of undecided battles, including the MPO battle between Steve Slater and Nate Yemm. The points are 274 to 273 in Steve's favor, with Dana lurking at 200 points. Its going to be a battle!

Battles are still going on in MPM, MA2, MA3, and others. We will be doing the Series Awards and Payout on Saturday afternoon at Morton. If you aren't playing come on out and support the finale!
