lost trash cans

Parks and rec have decided to remove the trash cans on the course in a bid to save money. Since doing so the park has been heavily littered on. Please try and bring a trash bag along and help us keep it clean when you play.

C2 could use more. C 1 has plenty. We always are picking up stuff. A chucker will throw a bottle 30 ft. into the stickers when he's 10 ft. from a trash can. It's the nature of the beast.

they left the ones by the playground and shelter. I say we toss everything we pick up off the course in one of those cans and overflow them. That should look good to the other park users.

Whats even better, is when you're playing a round, picking up trash as you go, and have a group of helmets behind you dumping everything they can on the ground.

How much $ can really be saved by taking away trash cans?
A bad day at disc golf is still better than a good day at anything else.... Unless its also disc golf

Perhaps the thought behind the trash can removal is to encourage the folks who dig through trash cans for cans & bottles to walk the park/course for exercise. With trash being on the ground, I guess it'll end up along the line where grass and woods meet, and easy to collect? I don't know. Seems silly to me-like these ideas.

Des Moines had been paying a trash removal company about a million bucks a year. So they are realizing some serious savings by having us pick up trash for them.
