Possible Changes to Eastern

Possible Changes to Eastern

Postby Chase20460 » Fri Aug 07, 2009 4:29 pm

I spoke with Paul, one of the Park Bosses at Davenport Parks.

They are planning on changing the hole numbers to better utilize the newly paved back parking lot. ( The one behind 11's Tee, and next to 11's long pad ) 11 will become 1 and 12 will be 2, and so on.

I am still working on getting secondary pin placements in, but probably wont happen before the ILO on August 29th.

I told him I didnt think it was a big deal, but did suggest moving the kiosk or placing a new one out there, with the long term possibility of getting vending machines out there. I also said I didnt think it would have quite the impact he thinks, and most people will still play the old layout as most rec players play mainly the 1-9 loop.

Just a heads up.

Played yesterday. Banks of Duck creek by hole 3 being widened, sloped, and rip-rapped. #3's basket is not there. That disc-blocking willow on the bend is no more. I hope someone with some disc golf knowledge is consulted before the pin is re-positioned.

This could be a good time to push the pin back and left of its current position, closer to the railroad bridge.

I agree pushing it back would be a fun position. One could bring up something about safty and the railroad but considering you have to walk over it and all dont think it would be a problem...Willow tree gone huh nor happy or sad..

Well, hole 3 is back in the ground, and in about the worst spot. Straight off the tee so the creek isn't in play and about 20 feet from hole 4s long tee.

They really should have pushed the position back about 10 feet distance wise from the old spot and like 20 feet to the left, not the 75 feet to the left like it is now.

Saw that hole #3 basket is almost DUG OUT. Someone has been loosening this basket to the point you can just about lift it out of the hole.
