Saturday night UFC 135.

Jones vs. Jackson.

Hughes vs. Koscheck.

Who are you picking to win these two fights?

Bones is unstoppable. He's gotta be thrilled to even get this shot, I think he's gonna brutalize Rampage.

Hughes is done in 2

Yep.

If there is anyone who can possibly put a nick in Jones' armor, it's Rampage. The guy is 1/2 neanderthal. All you have to do is watch ANY Jon Jones fight to know the guy doesn't get touched. If he gets past Page, he's at the front end of an Anderson Silva-like title run. I hope Rampage can do something here, Jones - out of the cage - is way too annoying.

Jones/Jackson...go the distance with Jones taking the decision.
Hughes/Kos...hoping that Hughes chokes out Kos...but I really doubt it will happen. So as much as it pains me to say, Kos R1.

GSP injures his knee and cancels his fight with Carlos Condit http://www.mmamania.com/2011/10/18/2498 ... t-scrapped .
I was really looking forward to this being a good fight.

Me too. Been a huge Condit fan for a few years. That kid is has been in some wars and come out on top in most of them. His fight with Rory Macdonald was epic.

I guess a BJ Penn Nick Diaz fight will work for a main event. :)

ya know I doubt it happens very often that you see two legendary fighters beaten into retirement on the same night.

I'd add some highlight videos, because Mirko has some incredible knockouts in his career, but everything on the internet is 280p for some damn reason.

Diaz - GSP will be a good fight if not just due to the hype now. Think he'll still fight Condit?

Condit will get the winner of GSP/Diaz. And Dan is right, Mirko has some awesome KO's in his career.

This video is decent...althought there is one clip in there where he gets KO'ed.

Watched the Askren v Hieron Bellator fight on Saturday.

Funky won the match in a split decision but he didn't look like himself. His standup game was horrible, we expect that, but his inability or reluctancey to try for the take down often was concerning. He dominated in 2 rounds when he got Hieron down on the mat and had nice ground and pound attack going. The other 3 rounds were on the feet and I thought he lost all of them, although one was close. I was shocked when he got the win. I guess his ground game was more dominant than Hieron's standup game, so they gave him the close round.

The only good thing to come out of the fight was Ben acknowledging he was subpar and stated that it was unacceptable. He's got a very long road to go if he ever want to sniff the UFC.

One of my friends that works in NASCAR told me that FOX is throwing a TON of money at MMA (sorta obviously), and that they are very interested in getting cross-promotion going between NASCAR and MMA. So I guess you can expect to start seeing shots of drivers in the crowd at fights, and all sorts of MMA appearances at races.

FOX is selling it to both sports as a win because MMA would like more of NASCAR's older demographic, and NASCAR would like more of MMAs younger.

Dan Henderson vs. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Wanderlei Silva vs. Cung Le.
There should be some very good fights tonight.

Decent set of fights last night. Jones looked a bit out of sorts in the first round, but that choke in the 2nd was sick.

How pissed would you be if you were Mark Hominic? You got KTFO...

And Tito needs to hang it up.

The surprise of the night was Mir's submission and subsequent arm break of big nog.

I would guess that Ortiz and Big Nog have reached the end of the trail.
